Celtic On the Caribbean -- Whisk(e)y Tasting

Harmony of the Seas - Main Dining Room

Charlie Sherwood, Rick Ewing, Ed Miller, and Mark Clavey present a taste of Ireland and Scotland.

Come experience the spirit of the land... 'whisky' or uisge beatha in Scots... 'whiskey' or uisce beatha in Irish... the "water of life". That was the reverence they had for this lovely dram.

The tasting comprises these six ¾-ounce pours:
- the Redbreast 12 - from Midleton (County Cork), Ireland
- the Lochlea "Our Barley" - from Kilmarnock (Lowlands), Scotland
- the Balvenie Doublewood 12 - from Dufftown (Speyside), Scotland
- the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 - from Tain (Highlands), Scotland
- the Lagavulin 16 - from Lagavulin (Islay), Scotland
- one more delicious dram whose name we're keeping under wraps so you can use your newly-acquired skills to identify it!!

Charlie and Rick will regale you with history, tradition, and insights into both the making of the "juice of the barley" and varieties you will enjoy... Ed will regale you with songs about "the Stuff"... and Mark with his whining sh-- er-- his shining wit.

You'll be furnished with a handy placemat for capturing the secret signs and compiling your notes on each dram... a placemat you can take with you (and straight to your favorite liquor store).

The Tasting begins at 2:30pm, and is 90 minutes long. Attendance is limited to 40 Whisk(e)y-Lovers... so seize the carpe (?!?) and get your ticket today!!

We recommend a hearty lunch!
